VW Rubber Steering Coupler Disc

The steering coupler, or rag joint, connects the steering column to the steering box on 1979 and earlier models. Vanagons and Syncros use 3 steering coupler discs. Part number 251419417B is the new superseded part number for the 111415417, and the two are interchangeable. On some models, the metal reinforcement washers may need to be filed or ground down so they don't contact the steering shaft and ground out the column.

Please note: Due to supplier availability, you may receive either a circular or a more squared version of the steering coupler. Either will work as they both have the same bolt-hole placement, thickness, and durability. The difference is only cosmetic. If you have a preference, please call to verify stock before ordering.

Both Circle and Square Steering Disc have the same hole alignment.
