Brand New Replacement Driver side floor pan. Complete with seat rails and jack mount. This is a complete length & width floor pan half. (Purchasing front & rear patch sections will NOT make a complete floor pan) The 1973-79 VW floor pan features dual seat rails and center hump. Center hump is included but may not be welded on at time of shipping as the manufacturer tries to consolidate size of package when sipping international. This is an easy fix as installing Floor pans does require welding on the tunnel side. Installation will require welding inner edge to chassis- just like original factory floor pans. Outer edge bolts to heat channel. Floor pan ships with black rust inhibitor. Floor pans will need to be sanded and primed prior to installation. Made in Brazil.
Note: The seat hump, rear crossmember and jack support may not be welded to the floor pan!
We are doing all we can to keep the price of the floor pans as low as possible and loose pieces allow us to use a much
smaller box. As we and many other floor pan installers recommend using the original crossmember, this actually saves time
during the installation as the crossmember does not have to be removed from the replacement pan. We cover the process in
our floor pan installtion video.
With the current global economy and supply chains being strained, pricing on standard and heavy duty floor pans may be the same.
Our floor pan pairs are discounted as we can ship the pans together so consider the pairs if you need both pans.
Currently Brazil is not making the floor pans so what we have in stock currently is all that is available. BE AWARE, you may have to modify the seat hump if there is an alignment issue.
You are cutting out an old pan and welding in a new one so cutting the center seat hump and realigning it as needed shouldn’t be too difficult for you or your installer. Currently we have no other options.
Center seat humps may not be welded in place, they may be welding out of alignment or welded on backwards so test fit your seats before installation!
We work as closely with the manufacturer as we can but occasionally the floor pans arrive and the center seat humps are welded in slightly crooked, and sometimes even flipped around. Test fitting your seats before installation insures that you don't do twice the work! Seats, floor pans and even the chassis could have been swapped so make sure you test fit your seat to the floor pan before installing it.
Floor pans are made from .035" (20 Gauge) Sheet Metal.
There is NO substitute for original German Floor pans. If you still have them it may be worth the cost and effort to restore your OEM pans. It may strike you as odd for a business to advise you to keep your original parts, however we've learned from personal experience and trying out multiple floor pan manufacturers over the years that there simply is nothing better than OEM. As classic VW restorers ourselves, we know it is not always possible to restore a floor pan that has been rusted out after 30-40 years of weather and rock salt. This is why we offer the best aftermarket metal floor pans we can find.
A replacement pan to body seal
and floor pan hardware are recommended whenever installing new floor pans.We also recommend replacing the seat rail bushings when installing new floor pans.
