VW Master Cylinder Plug - 5mm Inlet

This master cylinder plug fits into the top of the master cylinder. The plug has a hole in its center to accommodate the hard line that carries the brake fluid from the reservoir.

Note: The master cylinder plug acts as a seal between the brake system and the outside atmosphere. If it is damaged or worn, air may be able to enter the system, which can lead to inadequate braking power.

"Bloom” is a milky dusting of dry powder on the surface of new rubber products. Typically, this is caused by unused vulcanizing agents migrating to the surface of the rubber part. This is often found on new master cylinder plugs. This MUST be thoroughly cleaned prior to installation or a fluid leak will occur. Coating the plug with brake fluid prior to install can help with lubrication and a better seal during and after install.
