Test fit the bracket and bumper before painting!
Previous accidents and body work can cause poor fitment of new bumpers and other sheet metal items. It is very important to test fit the bracket before painting it. This will allow any necessary body work to either the body or the fender to be done BEFORE painting.

NOTE: All body metal parts are sent with a black, sprayed, rust inhibitor. This is NOT paint or a primer. It must be removed prior to applying primer to the sheet metal.

This includes bumper brackets, fenders, floor pans, aprons, deck lids ETC. Because this material is not a primer, it is not unusual for scratches to be found in this material. This does not affect the sheet metal as this material MUST BE REMOVED, thus also removing any scratches in the process. Of course dents would be considered excessive. All sheet metal is carefully inspected prior to shipping for dents. Any sheet metal that is received dented must be presented to the shipping carrier for a damage claim, REGARDLESS OF THE CONDITION OF THE BOX.

Upper Bumper Brackets Install One-Way Only.

Note how the upper bumper brackets install from the back side of the apron. Always start with the bent end first. Do not force the brackets (straight side first) from the front or you will damage your apron. Installation is the same for both front and rear bumper brackets.
