The VW Left Heater Channel assembly fits 1969 through 1974 Karmann Ghias that have a rusted or damaged heater channel. The heater channel is a full metal unit and made in Denmark. The heater channel is the lower structural portion of the Karman Ghia's body, running from the front of the rear fender well, along the outside of the body (at the bottom of the door opening), to the front firewall. The left heater channel has the duct opening under the rear seat, the vent opening for the front floor and the opening for the dash defroster hose. The bottom of the heater channel has the nut plate that the floor pan bolts up to. Replacing heater channels takes a good amount of skill, sheet metal work and welding so this is not something for the average garage mechanic. The heater channel will fit 1956 through 1968 Karmann Ghias but do not have the correct heater openings.
