VW Bus Damper Pipe

The VW damper pipe is a portion of the tail pipe for the VW Bus muffler. The damper pipe attaches to the muffler outlet and points to the left side of the Bus. The damper pipe is held to the muffler with a clamp and the damper pipe bracket, both sold separately. The separately sold tail pipe clamps to the end of the damper pipe.

The damper and tail pipe install kit (P/N 211298055) is recommended whenever replacing the damper pipe, as is the damper pipe bracket (P/N 211251301A) and the tail pipe (P/N 211251237B).

If the grey primer is not removed before installation, it will burn off in a few hours. We recommend stripping the muffler with a good solvent or sanding the paint off and then painting the muffler with a high quality, High-Temperature Exhaust Paint. None of our exhaust components are warrantied against rust.
