This louvered "W" Decklid is a stylish and functional replacement for the classic 1953-1955 VW Beetle Convertible. It comes in a black finish and features a drain tray for added practicality. As an aftermarket sheet metal part, it is ideal for replacing missing, rusted, or damaged original parts. Please note that this product is not an OE German sheet metal body part. For those with 1953-1955 Sedans, the decklid can be used to allow more cooling for larger engines.

Important Installation Notes:

  • Body work is necessary before painting to address small dents or dings.
  • Test fit the decklid before painting to ensure proper alignment.
  • Once body work or paint work has been started, the decklid cannot be returned.

Previous accidents and body work can cause poor fitment of new sheet metal items. It is very important to test fit the decklid before painting it. This will allow any necessary body work to either the body or the decklid to be done BEFORE it is painted.
