These 15 5/8" chromoly IRS race axles are for Type 2 transmissions with Type 1 and 2 CV joints and Type 1 suspension. Sold as a pair. They are designed to twist or spool up like a torsion bar to avoid damage to the transmission and keep the axle from snapping under extreme race loads. These EMPI axles are made from 4340 chromoly and feature high strength cold formed rolled splines. The special silver zinc plating ensures these axles outlast and outperform the competition. Ideal for drag and off-road conditions.
