PerTronix Ignitor Electronic Ignition Kit for 1964-1967 VW Distributors

The PerTronix Ignitor ignition kit is a drop in points replacement kit for 1964 through 1967 VW Bosch distributors that eliminates the old points and condenser. Convert your compatible Bosch distributor to an electronic ignition for worry free ignition and get an increase in spark voltage, performance and economy. The Ignitor Ignition module requires the use of a coil with 3 to 4.2 ohms of internal resistance. Pertronix recommends their Flame-Thrower Expoxy Filled Coils in black (P/N 40611) or chrome (P/N PT40501), available separately.

Please Note

Electronic ignitions and distributors are not compatible with original fuel-injected engines.
Suppression or spiral-wound spark plug wires must be used with the Ignitor; solid core plug wires will cause electronic interference.
A coil with 3 to 4.2 ohms of resistance is required with the PerTronix Ignitor ignition module.
