The Engle FK-65 Cam is a good performance can cam for use with high-ratio, 1.4 or 1.5:1 rockers. The FK-65 cam pulls well from about idle to 5000 RPM and works well in mild, smaller displacement engines. The small lift and shorter duration of the Engle cam make this a great cam for use in 1600-1914cc engines with basic performance heads. The cam and duration are so mild that a stock single carb could be used, but performance will be much better with a single, 2 barrel or dual 2 barrel carbs. The lobe design along offers a super quiet drivetrain, essentially doing what larger 1.1 or 1.25:1 rocker cams would do, but with high ratio rockers. Using the FK-65 cam with 1.4 or 1.5 rockers allows for more performance, less wear, and longer engine life!

Engle FK Series Camshafts are designed for use with 1.4 or 1.5 rockers.

Setting proper valve train geometry is crucial when using high ratio rockers. FK series cams take advantage of the increase in lift that comes with higher ratio rockers so they are a lot easier on the rest of the valve train. Engle’s FK cams are perfect for mild to high performance street and full race engines and all FK series camshafts are clearanced for stroker crankshafts.

Installation Notes:

All Type 1 performance cams are 3 Bolt, "early style" or "flat cams" and fit Type 1,2 & 3, 1200cc(40hp) to 1600cc based engines. New lifters should be installed whenever a new cam is being used. Never reuse old lifters with a new cam! Here are a few of options to consider:
