The Engle TCS-10 camshaft is the small TCS (turbo cam, 112° lobe separation) cam made by Engle and it is a great choice for mild turbo engine builds. The cam has a power band that comes in at a low 1000 rpm and it pulls strong all the way to about 5000 rpm in NA applications. A turbo and 1.25 rockers that can bump up the range on both ends, moving it to from 2000 to 6000. Make sure you are running dual springs as turbo engines build RPM quickly and single springs are more prone to floating in turbo applications. Headwork and carburetion will help the cam make the most of the cams profiles.

Engle TCS Series Camshafts are designed with different intake and exhaust profiles.

The intake profiles of TCS camshafts lift higher and are open longer than the exhaust profiles. The lobe centers on the TCS cams are ground on 112° lobe centers (instead of the standard 108°). The different cam lobes help to improve exhaust scavenging, increases torque, and helps improve power making the most of all the fuel in the combustion chamber. The higher lobe separation helps for turbo applications where the increase boost pressure can cause pre-detonation. It also helps to reduces intake and exhaust overlap which can help boost loss and improve engine idle.

Installation Notes:

All Type 1 performance cams are 3 Bolt, "early style" or "flat cams" and fit Type 1,2 & 3, 1200cc(40hp) to 1600cc based engines. New lifters should be installed whenever a new cam is being used. Never reuse old lifters with a new cam! Here are a few of options to consider:
