This Volkswagen tow bar is made from heavy duty steel and has a 2 inch ball receiver. Installation is easy on your Standard Beetle, Karmann Ghia or Thing. The VW tow bar is designed to slide under the front of the vehicle. The tow bar is then lifted up and attaches to the front beam of the car and is secured with the included, tow bar pins. Remember to always use a safety chain and never back up when towing any VW with a tow bar.

Please Note the Following:

• This cannot be used with an auto-stick or Super Beetle.
• Never back up when using a tow bar. It's not safe and can damage both vehicles or destroy the tow bar.
• Safety Chains are required by most states when towing, the tow bar does not come with provisions for, nor does it come with, tow chains.

Scratches and Scuffs are Considered Normal

The tow bar is a tool, not a show piece. They arrive to us, from the manufacturer, bundled together and have scratches and imperfections in the paint. The paint and tow bar are not meant for show. The tow bar will be set on the ground and pushed under the car during installation. It will get scratched during installation. In addition, it is very susceptible to getting scratched, scraped, and ground down while towing your vehicle. Please do not expect to get a tow bar with a show quality paint job. The tow bar will arrived with missing paint and scratches.
