This 5/16" inside diameter fuel hose is sold as 5 foot length. The heavy duty reinforced fuel hose is rated for gasoline (not alcohol or ethanol) fuels.

Note: VW is a German company, so they used metric measurements when building their cars. All air-cooled VWs used a 5mm inside diameter fuel hose until fuel injection was introduced. The fuel fittings on these vehicles were all designed to fit a 5mm hose.

This hose (5/16" or 7.94mm) is not the correct size to fit the factory fuel system on any air-cooled VW, but it can be used on modified systems, such as those using any combination of aftermarket fuel tank, pump, or carburetor. If this is the case for you, do you due dilligence and ensure there are not any leaks in your fuel system prior to operation. That is the #1 safety precaution you can take to keep you and your VW safe. In the event that you need to adapt from that 5/16" fuel hose to the stock 5mm hose, you can do so by installing a stepped fuel filter (part #803201511E) between the two.

The fuel hose is NOT compatible with ethanol based fuels such as E85. We do not recommend using fuel with more than 10% ethanol content with the hose.
