EMPI Classic Dark Wood Steering Wheel

This EMPI Classic Dark Wood Steering wheel features a 31 millimeter (large) grip. The wheel is 380 millimeters in diameter with a 3 inch dish and classic 3-bolt hub pattern. This kit includes a polished billet aluminum boss with horn button and EMPI logo. EMPI's classic wood steering wheels with polished chrome spokes feature real wood grain finish with finger grips on the under-side. These steering wheels will give your air-cooled Volkswagen a classic look.

Important fitment note for 1974 models

For 1974 models, it is imperative that you check the diameter of the splines on your steering shaft. Volkswagen changed the diameter and spline size midway through the model year.

  • If your splines are 13/16" in diameter, this is the correct steering wheel adapter for your car.
  • If your splines are 11/16" in diameter, you must use steering wheels or adapters that fit 1974.5-1979 models.
