EMPI VW Oil Cooler Bypass Plate - with Gasket

Eliminates the stock oil cooler and redirects the in/out ports
Improves airflow over the #3 and #4 cylinders

Fits all Type 1 motors without modification

This EMPI oil cooler bypass plate eliminates the stock cooler and redirects the inlet and outlet ports on the case. It is used to bypass the stock cooler on applications where it is not needed, or as part of a full-flow system. Removing the stock oil cooler improves airflow over the #3 and #4 cylinders, which are known for poor cooling due to restricted airflow. Two 3/8" NPT ports on the side allow connection to a remote oil cooler or filter. The top port is the outlet; the bottom port is the return. Gasket, plug, and hardware are included.
