VW Alternator Conversion Kit - with AL82 Alternator

Comes with a new Bosch AL82N 50 amp alternator (not a Chinese reproduction)
Includes alternator stand, strap, and 3-piece backing plate set
Fits 40 horse to 1600cc-based Type 1 VW engines

This alternator conversion kit fits 40 horse to 1600cc-based Type 1 VW engines. The kit comes complete with a new Bosch AL82N 50 amp alternator, alternator stand, strap, and 3-piece backing plate set.

This kit does not include an alternator-style fan belt. Alternator fan belt (P/N 113X912) can be purchased separately. For customers using this kit to replace a 6 volt generator, you will also need to purchase a 12V alternator pulley (P/N 9191). For an internally regulated alternator to operate, the D+ terminal must be wired to the negative side of a warning light bulb. A standard, incandecsent light bulb must be used. An LED light does not draw enough current to turn on the regulator in the alternator. The positive side of the light bulb should be powered by a key hot circuit.
