EMPI Adjustable Lowering Strut Housings

EMPI's VW Super Beetle adjustable lowering strut housings fits 1971 through early 1973 (Thru Chassis #1333003655 / 1533003655) and are sold as a pair. (If your 1973 Super Beetle has bolt in ball joints then it is an early 1973 model). These strut housings must be used with EMPI's 9629 lowered struts (sold separately) which can be added above. The lowered adjustable strut housings allow your VW Super Beetle to be lowered from 2 to 4" for improved looks and handling! These are intended to lower the ride height of your Super Beetle. Smaller tires will be required.

These housings must be paired with lowered strut inserts (P/N 9629), which are sold separately. Stock suspension springs can be reused or replaced with stock replacement springs (P/N 9628) as needed.
