EMPI's VW Super Beetle Lowered Strut Housings fit late 1973 (From Chassis #1333003656 / 1533003656) and are sold as a pair. If your 1973 Super Beetle has bolt in ball joints then it is an early 1973 model, if it has press in ball joints it is a later model. These housings are for use with press in ball joint models. These strut housings must be used with EMPI's 9630 lowered struts (sold separately) which can be added above. The Lowered Adjustable Strut Housings allow your VW Super Beetle to be lowered from 2 to 4" for improved looks and handling. These are intended to lower the ride height of your Super Beetle. Smaller tires will be required. Roughly lowers the vehicle 3/4" per notch.
