Whether you're looking to cover up a faded, cracked and chipped original steering wheel or you want to color co-ordinate your interior a bit more. We offer the VW Steering Wheel Covers in 2 sizes to fit all Air Cooled VW models from 1954 through 1979. The Type 1 steering wheel cover fits 15 3/4" steering wheels (with a 2 1/2" grip) that are stock in Beetles, Super Beetles, Karmann Ghias, Type 3 Squarebacks, Notchbacks and Fastbacks, and Things. The Type 2 steering wheel cover fits 17 3/4" steering wheels (with a 2 3/4" grip) that are stock in Type 2 Bus, Double Cab and Single Cabs. The Type 1 cover is roughly 47" around and 2 5/8" in wide, the Type 2 cover is roughly 53" around and 2 5/8" wide. The steering wheel covers are offered in Black, Blue, Beige, Red and Pea Green padded Basketweave Vinyl for a soft, comfortable grip. The VW Steering Wheel covers include a black cord with hard "threader" ends. Choose your size and color above and enjoy!

Note: This product will require significant effort to install. Just when we thought we wound the cord as tight as possible, we have found ourselves unwinding and going even tighter. The manufacturer includes the minimal amount of cord required for winding. This is how we receive the item, and the cord length is a concern we have expressed to the manufacturer. We have test fitted this product multiple times and found best results when we stop and tighten every single loop as tight as possible after it is threaded. Alternatively, some customers have defaulted to supplying their own longer waxed cord for easier installation.
