The main wiring harness is the front to rear harness of your VW. It goes from the various switches, connections and fuse box in the front and connects those circuits in the rear of the car. The 1973 Super Beetle Main Wiring Harness is set up for an externally regulated generator. This harness will work on 1973 and 1974 Super Beetles that have an internally regulated alternator as well.
If you have a 1973 or 1974 Super Beetle with an externally regulated alternator you will use the 1974 Super Beetle Main Wiring Loom (linked here).
All of our original style replacement wiring harnesses are made in the USA with OEM AMP terminal ends. Don't trust your VWs electrical system with inferior Chinese made harnesses!
Please Note: Wiring Harnesses can only be returned if the packaging remains sealed. Once a wiring harness has been opened, it cannot be returned
