The brand new, SVDA or vacuum advance distributor is a quality built, high-temperature tested, 100% new construction distributor. Inside are performance bearings and the distributor includes a new cap, rotor, points and a condenser already installed and ready to go.

This is the distributor we recommend for virtually all classic VWs that have a vacuum port on the carburetor and a 34PICT 3 or larger carburetor. 30/31PICT carburetors do not pull enough vacuum to operate the advance diaphragm. The "009 style" distributors have a flat spot or a hesitation when accelerating. This vacuum advance distributor accelerates significantly more smoother. Most classic VW carburetors have a vacuum port and should use a vacuum advance distributor. Kadrons, Weber IDAs, and 48/51 EPCs do not have a vacuum port and should use a 009 style distributor.
