Bosch 01011 Ignition Points for VW Distributors

Fits original VW distributors and popular aftermarket units
Triggers spark by momentarily breaking the coil’s ground
Compatible with Bosch 009 and 050 centrifugal advance distributors

The Bosch 01011 ignition points install inside the distributor and function by opening and closing as the distributor shaft spins, momentarily breaking the coil’s ground and sending spark to the correct spark plug. These points are designed to fit a wide range of original VW distributors as well as the popular Bosch 009 (0231 178 009) and 050 (9230 081 050) centrifugal advance distributors.

Note: The listed applications reflect what VW originally equipped. Over the decades, many vehicles may have had their distributors replaced. We highly recommend verifying your current distributor before ordering replacement ignition components.
