VW Rear Axle Assembly with CV Joints

Complete rear axle with CV joints pre-installed

This rear axle assembly connects the output flange on the transmission to the stub axle, which holds the wheel. It does not include the splined stub axle itself, which is sold separately as VW stub axle (P/N 16-2308). These axles are sold individually, so if you need to replace both the left and right side, you need to buy two. The axle does not come with CV bolts or washers. You typically do not need to replace the wheel bearings or seals when installing a new axle unless you remove the stub axle.
