Classic VW 1600cc Dual Port Engine Kit

If you want to build your own engine from scratch, this kit includes everything you need to build a 1600cc, dual port long block engine. You can save money vs. buying one of our complete long block engines by building the engine yourself. But also keep in mind, an engine is not a lego set. Additional tools, sanding, and other labor may be required to ensure that everything works together perfectly.

EMPI's Super Stock 1600cc Engine Kit comes with everything you'll need to build your own Type 1, 2 or 3 VW longblock.

Super Stock 1600cc VW engine kit includes:

• New magnesium engine case
• 69mm Crankshaft
• Forged I-beam connecting rods
• Stock camshaft
• Dual port cylinder heads
• Chromoly pushrods
• Solid Shaft 1.1:1 Rocker Assemblies
• 26mm Schadek oil pump
• Chromoly head studs
• Rod bearings
• Main bearings

• Complete Elring Engine Gasket Kit
• 12 Volt Flywheel
• Valve covers and bales
• All the hardware needed to assembly your new 1600cc VW longblock engine.

Note: This dual port kit requires a dual port intake manifold.

Due to manufacturing variances other parts and tools may be needed to complete the assembly of EMPI's engine kit.
