OCAP VW Tie Rod Assembly - Right - Fixed

Replacing worn tie rod ends can help eliminate slop in steering

This fixed passenger (right) side tie rod assembly is made by Italian manufacturer OCAP. It fits all 1968 to 1979 Type 2s (Bus, Single Cab, Double Cab, campers, etc). This tie rod connects from the swing lever to the right side spindle. It is part of the steering linkage that allows you to change the direction of travel from inside the vehicle. When you turn the steering wheel right, this rod pushes the passenger (right) side spindle to the right. Replacing worn out tie rods can help tighten up steering. Make sure to align the tires before driving to prevent uneven wear on the treads! The studs on the tie rod ends are threaded 12x1.5mm.
