If you're like most VW owners, adjusting your clutch cable is not a task you look forward to. The early style acorn nut along with a lock nut was replaced in 1966 a wing nut which is much easier to deal with. Especially in the tight confines underneath the car, above the transmission and behind the engine tin. VW replaced the acorn and lock nut with this wingnut which is much easier to adjust, not needing any tools! The best part is the clutch cable wingnut fits all the earlier models so it can be used on 1954 through 1977 Standard Beetles, 1971 through 1979 Super Beetles, 1956 through 1974 Karmann Ghias, 1955 through 1979 Type 2 Bus models, 1962 through 1973 Type 3s and 1973 through 1974 Things.
