The VZ25 is similar to the W110 with more top end as it has more lift. More modern cam grinds and higher ratio rockers have surpassed what this cam can do but for those on a budget, this might just be ticket for the performance you are looking for. The VZ series cams are rough on engine cases so sleeving the lifter bores will help reduce wear. Additionally, expect a noisy drivetrain due to the fast ramps and high lifts.
All Type 1 performance cams are 3 Bolt, "early style" or "flat cams" and fit Type 1,2 & 3, 1200cc(40hp) to 1600cc based engines. The cam
requires a separately sold, bolt on cam gear and must be used with a "flat cam" style oil pump.

Engle VZ Series Camshafts are designed specifically for use with 1.1 rockers only.
VZ series camshafts with high lift and stock rockers are an inexpensive way to achieve more lift. More lift expands the power band by
increasing bottom end torque. Engle’s VZ cams put a lot more stress and load on the lifter bosses, and valve springs, causing excess wear
and tear on the engine and drivetrain. This series of camshafts was originally intended for limited class racing that required stock ratio
rockers.
Please Note: EMPI (along with many other engine builders, racers and auto enthusiasts) recommends using an engine oil with ZDDP or ZDTP or a ZDDP/ZDTP additive in your oil for all flat tappet camshaft engines.
