The Bowden tube protects your VW Clutch Cable from friction against the transmission and chassis. This Clutch Cable Tube fits the Beetle, Super Beetle and Karmann Ghia from 1954 through 1971, the Bus from 1955 through 1967, the Type 3 from 1962 through 1973, and late 1974 VW Things.

For Things, VW switched to this Bowden Tube at the following VIN:
Thing - 1842219789
If your 1974 VW Thing has a VIN after (larger) than the number above, this is the correct bowden tube. If it is prior (smaller), use the 211721361D.
