Stock Replacement Pedal Assembly for 1966-1979 VW Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Type 3, and Thing

This Stock VW replacement pedal assembly is a direct fit for the 1966-1977 Standard Beetle, 1971-1979 Super Beetle, 1966-1974 Karmann Ghia, 1965-1973 Type 3 and 1973-1974 Thing. It can be used in earlier years with minor modifications to the pan (the original pedal mount must be removed from the chassis). This replacement pedal assembly includes a .570 inch stock-size clutch shaft.

The accelerator pedal components are sold separately. You may need the following:

• Accelerator Pedal
• Accelerator Repair Kit
• Accelerator Pedal/Cable Lever
• Accelerator Pedal Pad

Our Expert's Take:

The replacement pedal assembly can be used in any 1958 or newer Beetle or Karmann Ghia as well as the later model cars. Earlier models will have to trim off the original accelerator pedal mount from the chassis. The later model pedal assembly has the accelerator pedal mount built into the base. Check through the "Additional Options" tab to make sure you have all the parts and pieces you need for the accelerator pedal.
