Chrome Replacement Wheel with Original 10-Slot Design

This chrome replacement wheel will add some flash to your ride without breaking the bank. It is a reproduction of the wheels originally used on ’66-67 Beetles. The wheel accepts the early style domed VW hubcaps used on Type 1s through 1965 as well as the flat caps found on ’66-67 models. This wheel accommodates our 135R15 tires, 145R15 tires, or 165R15 tires, as well as some other 15" tire sizes.

These are the highest quality stock wheels available. They are perfect for most restorations. If you have a concours quality, show restoration, additional work and finishing may be required.

Chrome Maintenance and What to Expect:

We put this notice on all chrome products, regardless of manufacturer, or origin.

Chrome plating is an electro-plating process that is highly regulated due to the environmental impacts of the chemicals, metals, and the exhaust gasses released during the process.

We highly recommend maintaining any chrome on your vehicle by applying a car wax or detailing spray on a regular basis

Here are some additional tips:

  • Hubcaps - Spray paint the inside with paint or rust inhibitor, wax chrome finish regularly
  • Bumpers - Spray paint the inside with paint or rust inhibitor, wax chrome finish regularly
  • Exterior Mirrors - Lightly wax chrome finish regularly
  • Exterior Chrome Trim - Lightly wax chrome finish regularly

If you properly maintain the chrome and keep your car stored in a dry, non-salty-air environment, the chrome will last.

    Once a tire has been mounted to the wheel, the wheel can not be returned! Check for fitment before installing tires and have your tire shop check that the wheel is true (straight) before they install the tires!

    Please Note: These are not restoration quality wheels. More often than not, these wheels leave the manufacturer with scratches, dents and surface imperfections. While we strive to only provide the highest quality restoration parts, there are currently no alternatives for new stock-style chrome wheels. Buy these wheels with reservations, knowing these are considered "budget wheels", and come as-is.

    The chrome plating is not durable and is very prone to staining and discoloring. When cleaning the wheels, test any soaps or chemicals in an inconspicuous area (such as behind the hubcap) to make sure the substance does not discolor the chrome.

    We also want to make note that these chrome wheels are not made with the same preparation and plating procedures that were used 50 years ago.
