  • Comes with a Type 3 dipstick that will need to blocked off for Type 1 and Type 2 vehicles
  • Fits VW Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 engine applications
  • Comes with 8mm case savers

The universal case has mounting points for a rear cross bar and it has a Type 3 dipstick hole which will need to be blocked off for applications not using it. The all new engine case includes a medium style oil pick up tube and is suitable for 1500, 1600, 1641 or 1679cc based engine builds. The lighter magnesium case weighs in at about 25 pounds where similar aluminum cases weigh over 40. A stock metal cam plug can be used as can aluminum o-ring versions. The stock Type 1 engine case has 8mm case savers for the head studs, and can be clearanced & bored for higher performance builds.
