These front bumper brackets are designed for use with Mexican style front bumpers (part number 113707103S). Each set includes a pair of brackets that provide the correct mounting configuration for this bumper style. They are a perfect choice for restorations or conversions to the Mexican style setup.

Installation Notes

If you are relocating your factory turn signals from the bumpers to the fenders, it may be necessary to lengthen the factory wiring harness. Additionally, note that the Mexico style turn signal assemblies are designed for a dual filament bulb with parallel alignment posts. US-spec 1157 bulbs use offset posts, which align the bulb differently to match the correct filament wiring.

We have successfully used US-spec bulbs in these assemblies by using only the lower bulb post to hold the bulb in place. Always check that the bulb is correctly aligned when first installing to ensure proper function of the running light and turn signal filaments.

Previous accidents and body work can cause poor fitment of new bumpers and other sheet metal items. It is very important to test fit the bracket before painting it. This will allow any necessary body work to either the body or the fender to be done BEFORE painting.

NOTE: All body metal parts are sent with a black, sprayed, rust inhibitor. This is NOT paint or a primer. It must be removed prior to applying primer to the sheet metal.

This includes bumper brackets, fenders, floor pans, aprons, deck lids ETC. Because this material is not a primer, it is not unusual for scratches to be found in this material. This does not affect the sheet metal as this material MUST BE REMOVED, thus also removing any scratches in the process. Of course dents would be considered excessive. All sheet metal is carefully inspected prior to shipping for dents. Any sheet metal that is received dented must be presented to the shipping carrier for a damage claim, REGARDLESS OF THE CONDITION OF THE BOX.
