This was a COVID project completed in 15 months by my now 16 year old daughter and I. School was online and my business was shut down, so we had a lot of time on our hands. We did all of the work ourselves including paint and body in our backyard and garage. She worked on every aspect of the car (except for welding) including engine assembly, chassis, interior, and paint.

The car was purchased new by my father-in-law in late 1965 and was his daily until the engine seized in 1977. It was parked in a carport for 43 years before restoration. First VW for me and I was lost at times. Could not have done it with JBugs parts, service, tech videos and online chat!
