This is my 1960 Beetle. I found it for sale online back in October. It had sat in a Frito-Lay factory warehouse since the early 90’s and then given to its previous owner 5 years ago where it sat underneath a carport in TX with hopes of someday being restored. Unfortunately the previous owner developed some medical issues and was forced to sell the car.

Armed with only pictures of the car and a few FaceTime videos, I struck a deal with the previous owner and made the 2400 mile round trip journey from MN to pick it up.

Since then, the engine, transmission, frame and electrical system have been completely gone through and many items (thanks to JBugs) have been replaced. It’s currently awaiting the interior seat kit and front windshield and seal. Once those have been installed, it should be rolling down the road this spring when the snow melts!"
