It was always a dream for my wife to own a Bug. She was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer last year at age 29. She went through 9 months of chemotherapy and surgery to replace her right hip, femur, and knee. In March I was able to buy her this ‘68 Bug, “Lady Bug”, and in May she was declared cancer free! She’s not able to drive it just yet, but we often enjoy weekend cruises. She plans to redo the interior and add bumpers.
